NEXUS LEATHER REPAIR COMPOUND

It is a solvent based, thick colored gel compound used to repair leather and vinyl. You can get it in any auto match color of your choice. It makes the repair process so much faster without compromising strength, durability, and water resistance. By getting it in your commonly used colors, it will save you time and work. You won't have to use as much dye either. Dry/cure time is phenomenal! On a hot summer day in Louisiana, in a matter of seconds the repair is applied, grained, dyed, and ready to sit on. Too many applications of NeXus, or not smoothing it properly before impressing the grain can cause the Nexus to have a build up and create high points. It is not as forgiving as heat repair compounds that can be reheated and leveled off with a grain pad.

This product can be easy to use, but can also take a little skill. It is recommended to be used by those who are experienced technicians and familiar with the use of solvent compounds. To use: Apply it to the area in need of repair with your palette knife, apply CBC to your grain mold and press your grain into it. With any product, each product has its place and best used for certain repairs. NeXus is very sturdy in nature when it is completely cured, so you would want to apply this product to repair areas that will have a good measure of stability. For instance, the area on the side of the seat that has a large amount of pressure and flexibility would not be an idea place for this repair product. However, it can work on other areas of the seat. It especially works well for graining on a dash. For instance, you could use your Power Gel and sand paper to repair the crack in a dash, then put a coat of NeXus over it for added strength, durability, and color and a good grain application. The reason it is suggested to use on top of the Power Gel repair is become NeXus is not ideal for filling in a crevice or crack. On a dash, it won't alleviate the crack - even if it is small, you will still see the scar of the crack and it will eventually start to create high points on each side of the crack if too many applications are made. If used properly, this product can come in handy and become a huge time saver.

Since it is solvent, don't leave your NeXus untopped or out in the sun in between repairs - it will begin to cure in its container. During hot summers, you may want to bring your product in where it is cool.
